So with Christmas in mind my thoughts are turning to beautiful silvery hues. It's that time of year when sparkle is called for and I really love the cool silver tones at this time of year, particularly in the heat of Australia.
With only 50 sleeps to go, it is probably too late for a decorating overhaul but it's great to bring in touches of silver for your Christmas decorations and lunch table. If you like colour then you can introduce some blue with silver but if you want to keep it neutral then it works so well with grey and white – the colours of the moment. I actually wrote this article quite some time ago but I feel that it has really kept on trend as grey has come to the forefront of decorating. Silver just really gives it all a lift.
I hope you enjoy this article and are inspired to introduce some silver to your Christmas styling – just double click on the image to be able to read it.
If you love decorating with silver, grey and white, I have lots of inspiration on my Pinterest boards and would love to hear your comments in the section below. Are you a silver or gold Christmas person? Or do you prefer the traditional reds and greens? Have you introduced silver into your decorating schemes or would you like to know more about how this can work? If so – drop me a note below.
Ever since I have had my own home I have loved a silver Xmas, in the 70’s -80’s you could get those silver foil trees which as an adult I would wish every year they would come back & I could then hang all my blue baubles & stars I have been collecting for 20years. the timing of your post has prompted me to start getting out the deco’s tomorrow.
I grew up with those trees too and you always saw them partnered with blue baubles! I’m happy to have inspired you with your Christmas styling and hope you can add to the 20 year old collection – have fun
