Dulux Lexicon and Dulux Snowy Mountains comparison

Choosing the perfect white paint can be surprisingly difficult. Two popular options from Dulux are Snowy Mountains and Lexicon, both beautiful crisp whites, but with quite different personalities.

Dulux Lexicon – Crisp and Contemporary

Dulux Lexicon is a cool white with a noticeable blue undertone. It delivers a fresh, clean appearance and works beautifully in contemporary homes, particularly when paired with cool greys, black accents and modern finishes. Lexicon is available in Quarter, Half and Full strengths, allowing you to adjust the depth while maintaining its crisp character.

Dulux Snowy Mountains – Soft and Approachable

Although still a fresh white, Dulux Snowy Mountains has a softer, warmer undertone than Lexicon. It doesn't have the same blue influence, making it feel more relaxed and versatile. Snowy Mountains works particularly well with natural materials such as oak flooring, warm neutrals and coastal or Scandinavian-inspired interiors.

The Main Difference

The biggest difference between these two whites lies in their undertones:

  • Dulux Lexicon: Cool, crisp and slightly blue-based.
  • Dulux Snowy Mountains: Softer, slightly warmer and more forgiving.

If you're aiming for a sharp, contemporary aesthetic, Lexicon may be the better choice. If you prefer a softer white that pairs beautifully with timber and warmer finishes, Snowy Mountains is worth considering.

Both colours are available in Quarter, Half and Full strengths, giving you flexibility to create the perfect level of contrast throughout your home.
