How to use Dulux Casper White

Dulux Casper White is a beautiful grey-white with a subtle warm lavender undertone. The grey and lavender become more noticeable when paired with a clean, crisp white like Dulux Vivid White. Available in quarter, half, and full strength, Casper White is an approachable grey-white that works beautifully for exteriors and makes a soft, inviting white for interior schemes. Below, I’ve included some examples to show how it can be used.

The kitchen cabinetry in this image is Dulux Casper White in full strength.  The grey in this white gives you a beautifully understated white that works perfectly with Polytec Boston Oak and the grey marble benchtop and splashback.  A really crisp white here would have spoilt the subtlety of the look.  Dulux Casper White Quarter has been used on the walls, trim and ceiling.

The laundry joinery below is also in Dulux Casper White full strength.  This gives a seamless look with the soft grey tiles.

The colour schemes here are very harmonious because I haven't used any lighter, brighter whites than Dulux Casper White Quarter strength.

You should always test samples of any colour, white or neutral that you are considering using in your house.  The aspect of the room and how much light it receives will greatly change the look and feel of the white.  A room that is only lit with artificial light will look different again.  I recommend either purchasing A4 samples of the colour or painting a large piece of board with two coats of paint.  Move them around the room and view them at different times of the day.  Remember that the colour you are placing it on top of, will impact on how you read the new colour sample, so it is always best to paint as large a sample as you can.

As the Dulux Casper White range contain a decent degree of grey, they work particularly well for exteriors too.
