I think that Steph and Gian should have taken out first place on The Block this week. I loved their elevated dining space with its lower ceiling which created a really intimate room. The colour palette was perfect, I loved the lighting, double sided fireplace and adjacent comfortable and relaxed living area. Beautifully styled, this was a great reveal week for these guys.⁣

Do you love the lodge style homes that you see in America. On shows like Yellowstone where ranches are built within magnificent landscapes that are rugged and beautiful. This style has some features that translate perfectly to the Australian countryside, so if you are building a home and want to shun the all white Hamptons look, you might like to consider an acreage lodge style home.⁣

A question that I am often asked is "what colour should I paint the inside of my front door"? ⁣

You can use the same interior trim colour that you are using through your house, for example a white that you have selected for the interior doors, skirting boards and architraves. Or you can highlight the front door and paint it in the same colour that you have used outside. ⁣
⁣
Using black here for the interior of the external door is very effective with the colour palette in the space.⁣
⁣
