OYSTER SCHEME
A soft, neutral is always a well accepted choice for an exterior and popular with people who desire an understated yet classic look for their home. Reminiscent of an oyster shell, the main colour for this scheme is a very natural hue and its light tonal levels means that it is easy on the eye. Smart white balustrades and trim ensure the colour remains interesting and a dark blue deck brings a point of difference and grounds the scheme well. The white should also be used for the front door to offer a crisp welcome to the entrance and any weatherboard elements either on a gable or on the main part of the house should also be painted white to offset the natural colour. This scheme will suit all areas with the exception of those that are heavily shaded by trees.
Should you desire a more contemporary look for your home then new horizontal style screens could replace the lattice work and be painted in white. If the existing latticework is to remain then it should be painted in the same dark blue as the deck.
The colours in the Raffertys schemes have been selected from the Dulux range. Dulux has carefully managed the colours being presented in the images to ensure they are as close as possible to the true paint colour. Colour reproduction can vary when viewing colours on your screen. Best results will be obtained on your system by setting the monitor colour temperature to 6500K, viewing the image with a subdued surround and comparing the image against colours seen in natural daylight. For full accuracy and complete satisfaction we recommend that you test your colour selection at home using Dulux Sample Pots.
